Corydon's Civil War Museum

A Civil War Museum opened in 2013 in downtown Corydon at 201 North Capitol Avenue to help commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Corydon. The museum operated under the direction of Dan Bays, Harrison County Historian, and the Battle of Corydon Memorial Park Committee, Inc. The museum featured Civil War exhibits and interpreted the Battle of Corydon event to over 3000 visitors from 39 states and nine foreign countries. The museum was open free of charge and unfortunately closed in 2015 due the museum space being leased to the Harrison County Public Library.
